Clinical Interest
Dr Jerry Yeo is a board-certified clinical chemist and toxicological chemist with broad expertise in clinical chemistry, therapeutic drug monitoring, toxicology, clinical pharmacogenetics and endocrinology testing.
Research Interests
Research focus on new blood biomarkers of cardiac diseases. These include cardiac troponin, BNP and NT-proBNP, and new emerging markers like ischemia-modified albumin, soluble CD40, myeoloperoxidase, etc. In addition, our laboratory is embarking in a new direction in Pharmacogenomics research, involving the genotyping of various Cytochrome P450 polymorphisms and correlating that to the adverse outcomes of certain selected drug regimens.
