Research Interests
The long-term objectives of my research are to discover new antiviral agents
in plants and to explore their value in the treatment and prevention of infections
by several viruses that have a significant impact on the public health. This
research focuses on the identification, purification, and characterization of
antiviral compounds present in plants and on the investigation of their effectiveness
against herpes simplex virus (HSV), human cytomegalovirus (HCMV), varicella zoster
virus (VZV), and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
